“Haytarma” is the first film in the history of the Crimean Tatar nation about deportationThe film tells the story of the tragic date in the history of the Crimean Tatar nation – May, 18, 1944 – the date of deportation of the Crimean Tatars on the order of Stalin. The pivotal figure of the film plot is a pilot, twice a Hero of the Soviet Union, Ametkhan Sultan. In May 1944, after liberation of Sevastopol, Ametkhan goes on vacation to his hometown Alupka. On May, 18, right before his eyes unfolds the deportation of the Crimean Tatar. Over a thousand people from all over the Crimea took the part in shooting crowd scenes of eviction. Many of them have really experienced this terrible tragedy. Famous actors Aleksei Gorbunov, Yurii Tsurilo, Andrei Saminin, Aleksei Tritenko and Dmitrii Surzhykov starred in the film. Ahtem Seitablaev, the production director of the film, has also played Ametkhan Sultan, the main character of the film. It is the first full-length feature film released by production studio of ATR TV channel.
